Emily S. Ross joined Zausmer, Kaufman, August, Caldwell & Tayler as an associate in 2007. She brings to the firm significant litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance defense.

Ms. Ross focuses her practice on representing no-fault insurance carriers. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ross gained experience in the defense of various personal injury actions, including automobile, premises and construction accident cases. In addition, she has considerable experience with insurance coverage issues, credit insurance, automobile warranty, and title insurance law.

Ms. Ross graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1996. She was a recipient of the Dewitt C. Holbrook Award for Academic Excellence and attended law school on a full academic scholarship. She also served on the Environmental Law Moot Court team.

Ms. Ross is admitted to practice in the Michigan courts, as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is often appointed to serve as a defense arbitrator and is an approved defense mediator with the Oakland County Bar Association, the Oakland County Circuit Court and the Mediation Tribunal Association.
