Cinnamon A. Rice joined Zausmer, Kaufman, August, Caldwell & Tayler, P.C. in August 2010. She has more than a decade of experience in civil litigation. Just prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Trial Attorney at Citizens Insurance Company of America where she handled personal and commercial lines of business and a wide variety of litigation which includes first and third-party auto, premises liability, construction, maritime, fraud, insurance coverage and dog bite actions. For two years, she managed one of the staff counsel offices for Citizens Insurance Company and then returned to her trial practice. Ms. Rice had an extensive trial practice while at Citizens and has tried numerous third-party auto negligence and first-party PIP and fraud actions to verdict. She also has extensive experience before the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Ms. Rice obtained a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Michigan University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While at Cooley, she was active on the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Team where she competed nationally. She also completed the trial advocacy program through The National Institute for Trial Advocacy in June 2004.
Currently, Ms. Rice is a Hearing Panelist for the State Bar of Michigan Attorney Discipline Board. She is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
