Michael Lewis has been with the firm since 2000 and became a shareholder in 2006.
Mr. Lewis manages a varied practice, and is one of the firm's principal litigators
with an impressive trial record in courts throughout Michigan. The bulk of Mr. Lewis'
practice involves defense of personal injury and insurance coverage claims. Mr. Lewis
frequently speaks at seminars for insurance professionals and was a featured speaker on
issues pertaining to policy rescission and cancellation at the 2005 annual conference of
the Insurance Institute of Michigan. Mr. Lewis is an approved circuit court case evaluator
and is frequently hired by colleagues to help resolve disputes through binding arbitration.
Mr. Lewis is a member of the Michigan Defense Trial Council and the Negligence Section of the
State Bar of Michigan.
A lifelong resident of Michigan, Mr. Lewis graduated from Wayne State University magna cum laude in
1994 and from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1998. Mr. Lewis lives in White Lake
with his wife, Kristin, and son, John.
