Mischa M. Boardman joined Zausmer, Kaufman, August, Caldwell & Tayler, P.C. upon graduation from law school in 2000. Ms. Boardman focuses her practice in the firm's commercial litigation and appellate groups, providing sophisticated legal services in the areas of complex civil litigation, commercial litigation, eminent domain, appellate, and commercial landlord tenant disputes.
In her tenure with the firm, Ms. Boardman has acquired an impressive wealth of experience, becoming a seasoned and well respected litigator. No client or case is too big or too small and Ms Boardman has represented clients of all sizes - ranging from municipalities, publicly traded REITs, Fortune 500 and utility companies to small business owners and individuals. Ms. Boardman has successfully defended multi-million dollar lawsuits and also represented plaintiffs in complex construction law and other business litigation. Throughout her career, Ms. Boardman has specialized in the area of eminent domain, representing both public and private agencies and property owners alike. Currently, Ms. Boardman serves as eminent domain counsel to a Michigan based utility company.
Ms. Boardman achieves the best possible results by working diligently to identify and develop innovative legal strategies that she combines with the use of persuasive writing skills in the zealous promotion of her client's interests. Through the realization of the foregoing, Ms. Boardman has achieved impressive results for her clients, while also maintaining respectful and collaborative working relationships with opposing counsel.
Ms. Boardman is a 1997 honors graduate from the University of Michigan, where she was a James Angell Scholar. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan, where she was an active participant in the clinical law program. She is admitted to practice in all Michigan and Illinois courts.
